On Sunday, August 9, 2015, I posted a poll on my blog asking my readers to let me know which LMS (learning management system) they used in their classroom. I only had 5 readers take my poll and 4 of them use Google Classroom while 1 uses Moodle. One of my readers commented stating that she used SchoolLoop but entered Google since I did not have an option for the LMS she uses. So, based on my results, Google Classroom seems to be the go to LMS for the classroom.
I think that Google Classroom is easy for my young students to handle. I can put all of my flipped lesson there. This year I am going to use the stream feature to blog as a class. It makes assignments easily accessible for students if they are already connected to a gmail account.
ReplyDeleteI am finding that Google Classroom may be the way to go. My school district just recently changed over to Google Drive for staff and students. I checked out Google Classroom last school year and I was not that impressed but then again it was still in the "new" phase. I think Google has worked a lot of the problems out and I need to check it out again.
DeleteGoogle Classroom is easy to navigate and understand even for the less techy! I'm not surprised with those results
ReplyDeleteI am not surprised by my results either. It seems to me that if you have a Google account than you are more than likely using Google Classroom.
DeleteIt seems to me that the most common choises are Schoology or Google Classroom. Heard they both are fine meaning user firendly and intuitive and therefore suitable for school. Pity that not too many people took part in the pool.
ReplyDeleteGoogle classroom is new term for me, I need to learn more about it. Going to look for more information and hope that it will be worth spending time
